My first Lemony Snicket fan art!

I'm up to book 7 right now, I think (whichever the Vile Village is). It handy when you live in a house with children under 10.

This is Violet from the first book in her really awful wedding dress from a terrible scene in which Count Olaf nearly succeeds in marrying her so he can get the Baudalaire fortune. Why doesn't he just get a job like the rest of us?

Don't like: The hair.
Proud of: The feet.
Wish: I could have given it a background.

Materials: Pencil outline, colouring in Photoshop 7.

Never read the books (I really ought to), but Violet is what, 14? Dir-tay.

I also like her feet. She has cool shoes. I confess I also like the coloring on her hair. Nice and shiny.

LOL! My thoughts exactly. And Violet is 14, Klaus is 12, and Sunny is just a baby. An age is never really give for her beyond that. I'd recommend the books just because they're enjoyable and they're so different from Harry Potter, perhaps even better.

And thanks! If you see the movie the costuming is in that sort of Edwardian 1910's feel, with the high, buttoned shoes and whatnot. I love drawing those (when I can!)

Whee~ That movie was awesome, and the set and costume design was to die for... ^__^ I really love the books and the movie was quite interesting too! You did a fantastic job at designing the dress (off of memory or on your own ??) but really, its beautiful! Keep drawing, I love your art!
